Summer Camp and Bush Craft Residential.
For 2026 we will be offering even more opportunities to complete your Gold residential.
Starting with a Winter survival camp. Participants will learn essential skills to thrive in harsh environments.
Saturday 14th to Wednesday 18th February 2026.
Over the Easter and Summer Holiday we will host at least ten activity camps to choose from, each camp is 5 days and 4 nights.
Easter Camp:
Easter school holiday - date to be confirmed.
Summer Camps:
Nine summer activity camps will run from Saturday 11th July through to Sunday 16th August.
Each camp starts and ends as follows:
Saturday 11th to Wednesday 15th July.
Wednesday 15th to Sunday 19th July.
Sunday 19th to Thursday 23rd July.
Thursday 23rd to Monday 27th July.
Monday 27th to Friday 31st July.
Friday 31st July to Tuesday 4th August.
Tuesday 4th to Saturday 8th August.
Saturday 8th to Wednesday 12th August.
Wednesday 12th to Sunday 16th August.

Low cost and interesting, an activity, conservation and environmental residential week.
Meet new people, learn outdoor skills, rock climbing, archery, air rifle target shooting, conduct wildlife and woodland conservation and environmental projects.
Set in the pristine Adamswell Scout campsite and in privately owned woodland near Langton Green, Tunbridge Wells. Kent.
This residential will meet the DofE Gold Award requirements for the residential section of the Award.
Accommodation: Camp based, individual tents, bring your own or borrow a tent at no charge. Group self- catering, toilets and showers, including easy access. Sleep in tents, self-built shelters in the woods, bivvy, basher or use a hammock. The choice is yours.
Activities include: rock climbing, air-rifle target shooting, conservation and environmental projects, wildlife studies. Bush craft and backwoods cooking skills. Safe use of axe, saw and woodland tools. Learn to use wood carving tools, make and take home a souvenir.
Where: Based at Adamswell Scout Campsite, Broom Lane, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN3 9JL. Parking available on site.

Price: £220*. No price change since 2021.
Includes: All camp fees, food, activities, specialist equipment and any transport during the week. Maximum 18 Places available. Minimum age 16. For this to count towards the residential section you must be enrolled on the Gold level of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Open to Non-DofE Award Participants.
*10% Discount offered to Gold Award Participants for whom the residential is the only remaining section to complete the Gold Award. Price to pay with this discount is £198.
*10% Discount offered to Gold Award Participants attending as a group of 4 or more from the same DofE Centre.
One free bursary place available on each camp. All camp fees, activities, food - No Charge. Application details available on request.
Open to all members of the Scout and Guide Association, other youth associations and all participants enrolled on the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at the Gold level.
February
Winter Survival Gold Residential.
5 Days and 4 nights.
Saturday 14th to Wednesday 18th February 2026.
This Residential for the Gold Award is for the camping and survivalist enthusiast.
Staying in private woodland, camping and cooking on open fires. Part of the experience will be to construct weather shelters, as required, day shelter, sleep in them or use individual tents.
Sleeping in hammocks under a tarp, constructed shelters or in individual tents. The choice is yours.
A warm sleeping bag is definitely needed for this one!
Showers, indoor toilets, kitchen and warm communal room available each evening from 6-9pm.
Activities include*: bushcraft and backwoods cooking skills, safe use of axe, saw and woodland tools, learn to use wood carving tools, air-rifle shooting, conservation and environmental projects, wildlife studies. Use multiple IR camera's to observe wildlife in winter.
You are now allowed to complete the residential section in two 2-night blocks. Choose from any of the 2026 camps listed on this page.
